Please create a regular D&D character subject to these guidelines (or contact the GM if you have any interesting idea that lies beyond these guidelines).
- Be an Orc living in the ancient kingdom of Goghgol Mogh at the time of the Righteous War. You have either volunteered for or been drafted into the Orcish Army to protect the civilian population from the human invaders.
- All Orcs in this civilization can use magic so,
- Distribute 84 points amongst the seven character characteristics of STR, CON, DEX, INT, WIS, CHA, and spell casting mana (Mana). Nothing higher than 18 or lower than 3 please.
- Calculate modifiers using D&D rules for all characteristics other than Mana – you won’t roll against Mana; it’s simply a pool of energy used for casting spells.
- Choose a character class – all of the available classes are military themed so decide whether the Army trained you as an infantryman, engineer, medic, etc. This will determine,
- The military spells you have (the Army taught you those).
- The weapons, armor, and equipment you’re carrying (the Army provided these).
- You don’t have any cash on you – you left it at home with your family when you were inducted.
- Then choose 4 childhood and 2 civilian spells that you learned before you joined the Army and are still available to you.
- Be sure to read the six classes available to you, the rules for magic, the rules for Health and First Aid, and the suggestions for character personalization.
